Country Crooner Back

To His Roots on Daytime!

Look who's gone back to his Daytime Television roots!

That's right, it's country crooner, Scott Reeves, from the

hot country Duo Blue County.  Reeves is no stranger to daytime television and is perhaps best known for his portrayal

of the character, Ryan McNeil, on the CBS daytime drama,

"The Young and the Restless."

Scott is also married to fellow soap star, Melissa Reeves,

known for her portrayal of Jennifer Horton Deveraux on

Days of our Lives.  The two have a ranch just outside

Nashville, Tennessee, and have

two children, a girl (Emily) 17 years old, and boy age 12 (Larry).

Scott and Missy named their farm in Nashville "Sweetwater Farm,"

where the family enjoys horses, goats and getting away

from city life.  In fact, Reeves is already missing Sweetwater,

having made the necessary move back to the west coast to

film in Los Angeles. Reeves will debut on General Hospital

next Wednesday, December 9th, as the "new"

Steven Lars Weber.  The character will be the hospital's

new Chief of Staff, and will get mixed into the the

Liz, Lucky, and Nikolas storyline.

This is Good News for Blue County country

music fans, and daytime fans from CBS and ABC!

Pilot Episode of

"Life Unexpected"

Five Stars

Will This Trio Become a Family?

Check Out the Sneak Peek Below!

The Pilot episode of "Life Unexpected"

aired last night on the

CW Network and grabbed viewers

by their heartstrings.

In anticipation, critics had described

the series as "Juno" meets the

"Gilmore Girls". If the series is anything

like the pilot, it promises to have

viewers wondering not only what they

can expect from week to week,

but if these characters will be okay.

Will there be a happy ending?

And if so, we want to see how they get there.

Will this unconventional family stick together?

We're already interested in their day to day

struggles to regain the years they've lost.

Can you build a family after nearly 16 years?

There's no doubt "Life Unexpected"

will be an emotional series.

Having viewers attached

to the characters after the first

episode is a good sign!

This is life, teenage and adult drama

with some 'unexpected' surprises.

Afterall, real life is full of unexpected surprises.

"Life Unexpected" is about a 16 year old

girl named Lux (played by Brittany Robertson),

who has spent her life in foster care, and

manages to track down her birth parents,

Baze and Cate (played by Kristoffer Polaha

and Shiri Appleby).  The teen needs her birth parents'

signatures to become emancipated

to be released from the Foster Care system.

Lux gets both of her biological parents'

signatures, but her plans to go out on

her own come to a quick halt,

when the judge turns down her request.

Luckily, both Baze and Cate

show up at the hearing,

and Lux is put in their joint custody.

Will the trio become a family?

Shakira Performance

Re-Aired on

Saturday Night Live

We've rated the Latino Superstar one of the best

SNL (Saturday Night Live) Musical

Guests of 2009.  An incredible performance

and song showcased the pop star's unmistakable

vibrato voice, although sometimes imitated or spoofed,

Shakira's talent has yet to be duplicated.

Carrie's

Engagement

She's been courted by an NFL

player, but she's settling

with an NHL player.

Maybe settling isn't the

best word, well, yeah it is.

Carrie Underwood's

rep has confirmed she and

hockey beau, Mike Fisher,

are engaged.

You might remember

a lot of talk a few years

back about Carrie dating

the Dallas Cowboys

quarterback Tony Romo,

well this "All American Girl"

seems to have a thing four

athletes but has decided to

hit the rink and leave the

pigskin for a puck.

We wish them all the best.

Rihanna Movin' On

Rihanna is saying out with the old and in

with the new!  An inspiration to

battered women everywhere who haven't

found the strength to remove themselves

from the dangers of an abusive relationship.

Rihanna is definitely moving on from the

likes of Chris Brown and his anger issues.

Hope For Haiti Telethon

Musical Genres and Television Networks Unite

Text "Haiti" to 90999 and Donate $10 to Red Cross !

Friday night, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera were just a few of the musicians who performed on the "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon for earthquake relief.
The two-hour event brought not only musical genres together, but television networks, as well. The Telethon aired on most major networks on Friday evening January 22, at 8 p.m. ET, and was hosted by George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York and CNN's Anderson Cooper in Haiti.  Sting was live in New York joined by Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige,

Jennifer Hudson and Shakira.
Timberlake and Aguilera took the stage in Los Angeles, along with Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews, John Legend, and Stevie Wonder.  For country music fans there was Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow.   While, in London, the lineup included Rihanna, Bono, Coldplay,

Jay-Z and The Edge.

The "Hope For Haiti Now" telethon was a moment in

history, as one of the few cross-cable/network

television airings of a non-Presidential event.

The monstrous 7.0 earthquake left tens of

thousands dead, hundreds of thousands

hungry, homeless, and in need of urgent

medical care.  And the entertainment industry

rushed to the rescue along with all of you!

Leona Lewis Musical Performance

at The Golden Globes

Backstage and on the red carpet at Golden Globes

Adding a little drama to Sunday's Golden Globe Awards was Robert Downey Jr.'s friendly backstage disagreement with his wife over whether she thought he was going to win the award for best musical or comedy actor in a motion picture.

"Did you or did you not say Matt Damon was going to win?" Downey prodded his wife, Susan Levin.  "I did not!" she responded. "What I said was I went online to see what the predictions were."

During his acceptance speech, Downey said his wife told him he didn't stand a chance because Damon's performance in "The Informant" had locked up the award.

Downey, who won for the title role in "Sherlock Holmes," says it is much more likely now that he'll get to play the master detective again in a sequel.

Some stars, such as Leona Lewis, felt out of place on the Golden Globes red carpet.  The silky singer, whose song "I See You" from the new movie  "Avatar" was nominated for best original song.  Lewis said that it was a "totally surreal" experience to be surrounded by movie stars instead of musicians.

Miss Lewis You Were Brilliant!

Eldest Jonas Brother

Marries

On Saturday, Kevin Jonas, 23,

became the first JoBro to tie-the-knot!

With two feet of snow at

Long Island's Oheka Castle,

nearly 400 guests attended

the New York ceremony.

With younger brothers,

Nick and Joe as best men,

Kevin and long time girlfriend

Danielle Deleasa said their vows.

Kevin has been quoted on

more than one occasion,

saying "I feel like I've met my

Princess."   And we hope for

a happily ever after!

Nick Jonas Goes Solo

at the House of Blues...

Well, the guitar still looks bigger than he is, but nevertheless,

he's making a go of it on his own.

Why should age or size stop him anyway?

There's the one little kid who nobody really knows anything

about but whose name keeps coming up as a Trending Topic on the social network Twitter (rigged by the way, Everyone isn't really talking, it's digital marketing using one of those Quiz sites as a pod).  Even those who have seen more than just the name strewn about, but an actual sighting or performance, still don't get it.  We don't either.  Maybe they should let

Bieber go back to Canada, play basketball, and do kid things before they push him as a "teen" mega-star.  We saw the video where mom's

boyfriend was shoving the camera in his face when he just

wanted to go outside and play.  Does he have to sing for

mealtime too or just playtime?  So, we say all the best to Nicholas!

You've worked very hard over the years, and if it's time for the

brothers to fly out of the nest, make them proud.  Nick was singing

before there was a "Jonas Brothers" and we're quite thrilled to see him carry on what he started.  At least there is the talent and the truth about his age on his side.  People please don't buy everything that is shoved down your throat via social media (the internet).  Make sure it's the real thing and that there is a real person of the age that they are being portrayed to sell you music.  Nick Jonas did well on his own Saturday night without the brothers in Dallas Texas at the House of Blues.  Carry on Nick Jonas!

Taylor Swift Sues,

and Why ?

We wouldn't normally have bothered with the

Taylor Swift Idaho Story, as it really is

"small potatoes" for Swift at least.

Oh by the way Tay, did anyone pay

Shakira for your "She Wolf" spoof?

Okay, so songwriters need to get paid,

that is so true, and we very much agree.

In fact, we all need to earn a living, including

small business owners like the one in Idaho

that Swift is currently suing for playing

her songs on Karaoke.

" OHHHHH, the humanity! "

How could a hometown place called the

Sports Cellar in small town Idaho have

the gall to let patrons sing along to one

of Swift's instrumentals without paying

her three cents this month?  Yep,

that's about what it amounts to.

And what most music fans don't realize,

is that the same company Swift is

joining with in this lawsuit, keeps your

favorite hometown bands and artists

from getting gigs.  The way it works, if your

favorite band or hometown performer calls

the local club to see about a gig, if that

club owner isn't paying "their pennies"

to one of two BIG songwriting organizations,

they can't "by law" book your favorite

band or even provide music on overhead

from radio.   So, if a band or new artist

wants to pay homage to another artist, they

and the establishment they play in, both

are required to pay royalties or they are penalized.

Think you didn't read that correctly?

Nope, you did.  Absurd, but true.

Most small town club owners have just

opted out of booking live entertainment and

then just play at their own risk the radio

or as in this case, Karaoke.  Hmmm...

Maybe the finger is pointed in the wrong

direction when it comes to the decline

of cd sales.  Music fans have to hear the music!

New Sound Comes

To Margaritaville in 2010

You probably won't find a dish that doesn't include shrimp on

Jimmy Buffett's table, but that doesn't mean he's afraid to mix

it up a bit on stage.  In fact, get ready!

Jimmy Buffett found iLo Ferreira in Cape Verde, an

island country off the western coast of Africa, with some

pretty talented treasures.  The name iLo, (pronounced eeelow)

is unique enough, and the sound, well Buffett meets Jack Johnson?

Of course you can decide for yourself, since you will be seeing and hearing him this year if you haven't already.

Jessica Harp A New Tattoo

and New Video to Match !

Jessica Harp, one-half of the GRAMMY nominated duo, The Wreckers, releases the music video for her new single, “A Woman Needs,” exclusively on AOL’s The Boot today. The single was released to radio last Tuesday, January 19th. Inspired by the video, Jessica got a tattoo of three stars as a reminder of the significance the song’s message had on her own life.

The music video, directed by Kristin Barlowe, chronicles the story of three girlfriends throughout their childhood, teenage and adult years. In each stage of their life, the girls carry a tradition of a star symbol on their hand – first with stickers, then a pen drawing and lastly as a tattoo imprint.

“I wanted to get the tattoo because this song means more to me than any other song on the record,” Jessica says. “Every time I look at this, I’ll think of that song, I’ll think of my first solo record that I’m really proud of and I’ll think of the message of ‘A Woman Needs,’ which is to follow your dreams.”
