The Big Valley Jamboree Day 1 of Annual Event

The beautiful city of Camrose Alberta  owns bragging rights for playing annual host to Canada’s largest outdoor country music extravaganza, The Big Valley Jamboree. Now celebrating its 15th year, the four day festival continues to grow, attracting some of the biggest names in the industry.

At Thursday’s August 2nd kick-off party on the Molson sponsored stage, fans were treated to one of the finest

traditional voices to come out of Beaumont, Texas.   Clay Walker and his family arrived on site shortly before his performance aboard his impressive brown and gold Prevost tour bus.   The handsome entertainer was in super spirits as he met, mingled, and mugged for photos with giddy fans back stage while his 7 piece band prepared for sound check.  The 38 year-old heartthrob was dressed in gal pleasin’ tight fittin’ blue jeans, white shirt and of course that trademark black felt Stetson, that hid those lady slaying dark brown eyes.   Upon his appearance, the ladies in the crowd went wild at first sight of Walker.

Opening the show with his 1993 hit, ‘Dreaming With My Eyes Open’  CW

soon realized that the crowd of 11,000 strong, were there to PARTY!

Walker later got the chance to show off his fun-lovin' side, kicking huge

beach balls off the stage to the arm waving revelers, while colorful streamers were shot high into the air covering front row fanatics throughout the salsa flavored tunes, ‘Then What’ and ‘Live, Laugh, Love’.    Walker also performed the rock n’ roll classics, ‘Honky Tonk Woman’, (Stones) and Steve Miller’s, ‘The Joker’ then bid farewell to the Molson partiers with his closing story telling tune,

Chain Of Love’.
