Christian Kane, lead singer of the Hot Country Rockin' band KANE, came to New Country Star in
March of 2006. The band blew the competition away two months in
a row. Being voted fan Favorite New Band for both
March and April of 2006. Then it was off to the Semi-Finals,
where they placed first out of eight in the Favorite Duo or Band category.
They held their own in the finals, but in the end, pulled
into the lead and stayed there. Although there was some stiff competition, there
was nothing stopping KANE fans.

Christian Kane & Steve Carlson (“ KANE ”)
are both accomplished songwriters and guitarists whose passion to create and share their special breed of "outlaw country" soon became a Los Angeles phenomenon. Christian Kane has worked and played with some of the most talented and creative studio and session musicians in the business.
KANE has very quickly gathered a following unequaled by any LA band in their genre. KANE has received airplay from #1 LA country music station KZLA, been voted the winner of the 2005 Country Thunder Young Guns Contest, and been voted one of L.A.'s 100 Hottest Unsigned Bands. The band has played live shows to rave reviews at venues such as the Viper Room, Ivar, House of Blues, London’s Garage, and Florence, Arizona on the main stage at Country Thunder USA. KANE has opened for artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich and Pat Green.
Christian has had success not only with KANE, but also with numerous film and television roles. In a role that has given him worldwide exposure, Christian’s starred as "Lindsey McDonald" in a major recurring role on the WB television series ANGEL. Christian currently co-stars in the Jerry Bruckheimer produced weekly drama series CLOSE TO HOME that currently leads its timeslot every Friday night on CBS in the States. Christian was also featured last summer in the TNT miniseries INTO THE WEST and the feature films TAXI and FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. He was also seen in the film JUST MARRIED, LIFE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT, SECONDHAND LIONS, KEEP YOUR DISTANCE, HER MINOR THING, and SUMMER CATCH. One recent development that has Christian excited is his appearance in 24: THE GAME where he plays a computer-generated antagonist challenging Kiefer Sutherland to try to stop his evil plan.
Christian’s songwriting talents were recognized in 2004 when EMI Nashville signed him to a publishing deal. Building on that deal, and recent time in Nashville, KANE has peaked the interest of several high-level industry executives and labels. Expect a major label deal very soon.
