Eli Tellor nearing 19 years of age now, is pouring out some awesome vocals, writing his own material, and playing just as hard as he sings.   Eli is ready to rock Nashville.  Maybe to some it's a big dream for a young man coming from the small rural town of Anna, Illinois, but to Eli it is his future.  It's no doubt that  we are seeing more and more talented young people each and every day.  Eli Tellor is no exception.  Inspired by Billy Gilman at the age of twelve, Eli set his sites on the recording industry.  Eli basically taught himself to play the guitar at a young age and picked up some pointers along the way from his mother, his uncle and various other 'pickers'.   When you listen to Eli sing, you hear him sing from the heart and his charisma, vocal abilities, and passion for his music just seem to draw you into the song!  Eli not only plays and sings but is rapidly acquiring a catalog of songs he has written.  Eli doesn't just write songs.  Some of the songs he has written, he has  'lived' or written for a reason.   Eli may have seen his share of rough times but it doesn't deter him at all from keeping his eyes set on his goal of becoming a Country Music Recording Artist.  You can check out a few of his songs here on New Country Star.  Eli would appreciate your comments on his music as well.    His latest song "Doctor" was posted to his site on June 12, 2008.  Eli connects with his fans through his music.   He has performed at various events, fairs, contests, civic centers, private parties, and  restaurants etc.  Playing in front of crowds from 100 to over 6000.  He had the privilege in April 2007 of opening for The Crabb Family.   In June, he was invited to perform at a VIP Party for FHR Radio; in October of 2007 he was given the opportunity to audition and perform at the legendary Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville.  Many of the contests he has won he has taken home first place.   His first at the age of just thirteen, landed him a CD project at Big Mommas Studio.  He has had the privilege of meeting several stars at the Grand Ole Opry by having the distinct privilege of being a backstage guest at the famed hall.  As he stood by the stage of the Opry he was asked by Nan Kelly of GAC "What is your goal? "   To which, Eli didn't skip a beat, he merely pointed out to the stage and said "To be out there singing for my fans and enjoying them enjoy my music!"  In February 2008, Eli was voted Favorite Male Vocalist in New Country Star Magazine.  In March 2008 Eli performed in "15 Minutes of Fame" at the Hall of Fame Lounge in Nashville as well.  Eli was at CMA Fest 2008 and was interviewed by New Country Star Magazine.  That interview will soon be appearing in his own section on NCSM in the "Artists" section.  Eli will also be performing in the Colgate Country Showdown in Metropolis, Illinios and again on July 26th in Paducah , Kentucky.  He is scheduled to appear at the Duquoin State Fair (DuQuoin, Illinois) as well, with dates soon be announced.  On June 11th Eli performed at St. Judes Hospital for Children in Memphis, TN in a private performance for some of the patients.  The kids loved him and afterwards he signed photographs and handed out some of his wristbands to all of the kids in attendance.  Afterwards he was able to tour Graceland and Sun Studio.  So buckle up, hang onto your seat, and get ready for the ride, as the next new wave of country music artists, aka "the next generation Nashville", is on it's way and ELI TELLOR will be riding the top of the wave!

So watch out Nashville!
