Eric Jon

New York born and raised but country at heart, Eric Jon spent most of his life on Long Island until the day he decided it was time to make the move to Music City in January 2001.  He only knew a handful of people at the time, but soon the list of friends expanded as he made himself a home.  "I've met some of the most amazing and talented people in Nashville.  I've learned so much from them and I'm still learning."

Eric Jon -- who's mom named him after Elton John -- always knew that he wanted to sing.  "My mom" he says "is probably one of the best singers I have heard in my life."  But growing up in New York and singing country music weren't always a good combination.  "I did a lot of rock and roll, ya know the 80s 'hair ' band stuff.   Some of my best influences were Poison, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and The Cure.  Then there was this other side of me that I shared with no one, in fear for my life.  It wasn't until I started to write my own stuff ya know, you really find out where your heart is."  So he knew that Nashville was where he needed to be.  "Nashville was always someplace that I dreamed of going.  If I wanted to do something that meant something to somebody, that I could feel comfortable and good about singing.... I needed to move to Nashville."

He fills his days and nights with music.  He adds, "There really isn't a day that goes by that I'm not foolin around with a song, and that is the God fearin' truth."

He's currently touring the country with his friends "The LoCash Cowboys".  When he's not on the road, you can find him around the Nashville scene singing solo, both acoustic performances, and with his own band whenever his time allows. But even when he has a little time off, he'll spend it at home outside of Nashville, singing with friends at the house, making dinner and memories.  "You live once and your dead forever" he says.  "I'm not gonna wait to kick it with my brothers, I'm gonna do the only thing I know how to do.... do right anyway!"

Eric Jon's  is a voice that is definitely meant to be shared.
