Twenty one year old Boston
born, California raised singer/songwriter Shannon Haley has loved country
music all her life. "My mom is a really musical person and she exposed me
to a lot of different genres, but country music stuck. I've been singing
and listening to it almost obsessively since I was six years old." While she listens almost exclusively to country music, Shannon has years of experience as a classical singer where she has sung opera, jazz, and gospel. In high school, Shannon traveled around the world as a featured soloist in the elite choir, "The Main Street Singers". Afterwards she was accepted to USC's Thornton School of Music and one of five students accepted to UCLA in 2004 as a vocal performance major. She chose UCLA and stayed in the program her first year. "The program was a great experience and gave me a lot of great vocal training, but I was able to dedicate the time I wanted to my country music career. I'm really happy I have put more time into songwriting and singing the music I've always loved!" Now, Shannon performs country music in Los Angeles in venues such as "The Canyon Club", "The Maverick", "The Cowboy Palace", and "Whisky A Go-Go" and she has recently been making trips to Nashville to work on her CD.
